GSW’s online Master of Science in Computer Science ranked #2 in affordability

AMERICUS, Ga. (April 11, 2017) – Georgia Southwestern State University’s (GSW) online Master of Science in Computer Science degree was recently ranked second in the country for value by AffordableColleges.com.

“The AffordableColleges.com ‘Value Score’ weighs criteria such as loan default rates, graduation rates, and financial aid data, to draw a distinction between the programs that appear cheap up-front and those that will pay off in the long run,” according to their website.

In addition to these metrics, Georgia Southwestern’s high ranking is due to high student success rates, the student: faculty ratio and the various programs offered at GSW.

GSW’s online degree in computer science is approved by SACSCOC. The degree program is geared towards current industry demands and prepares students to be equipped to deal with the latest technology. The courses in this program are offered online via GeorgiaVIEW, an online course delivery tool.

Elective courses are available in data mining, advanced software engineering, advanced computer graphics, and more.

Among the rankings were Kennesaw State University and the University of West Georgia.
