GSW announces 2017-2018 Chamber Concert Series line-up

AMERICUS (Aug. 24, 2017) — Georgia Southwestern State University has announced its 2017-2018 Chamber Concert Series, opening with guitarist Lily Ashfar on Sept. 14 at 7:30 p.m. in Jackson Performance Hall. This year marks the 39th season of the series.

The complete concert series schedule is listed below.

Thursday, Sept. 14 – Lily Afshar, guitar

Tuesday, Oct. 3 – Joe Chapman, piano

Monday, Oct. 30 – Merling Trio

Wednesday, Feb. 7 – Sophie Chao, cellist

Thursday, Feb. 22 – Seraph Brass

Thursday, April 10 – Eric Mintel Quartet

All performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. in GSW’s Jackson Performance Hall. Season tickets for all concerts are available: adults $60, GSW faculty and staff $50, and senior citizens $40. GSW students and children 12 and under are admitted free of charge. Tickets to individual performances are also available and can be purchased at the door.
