GSW's University College is a program for specially selected first-year students. This is a two-semester program designed to provide new students with the foundational skills for student success through:

  •    specially-designed college success courses
  •    small classes with designated University College instructors
  •    student accountability groups
  •    individual planning meetings with advisors and counselors
  •    intentional opportunities for extra-curricular participation

University College assists students in goal setting, time management, growth mindset, critical thinking, and academic resiliency necessary to persist and graduate on time.
