Georgia Southwestern State University has a variety of registered student organizations for hurricanes to get involved during your studies on campus. Becoming engaged with an organization helps enhance the GSW experience while also building lifelong memories and relationships. Students have the opportunity to become involved in various areas such as Student Government Association, Fraternities and Sororities, Intramural Sports and Recreation, Religious Organizations, Honor Societies, and Art and Cultural Groups. Hurricanes in organizations are benefited in many ways:

  • Relationship Building - Hurricanes in organizations are able to make connections and meaningful relationships with fellow hurricanes, faculty, staff, and community members.
  • Leadership Opportunities - Involved students have the opportunity to take on leadership roles within an organization and network amongst the campus and community.
  • Growing experience - Hurricanes have the ability to grow and help others grow at GSW by applying class materials into their organization and everyday campus life.
