Say hello to the editors of Blue Fire! Each one brings their unique spark to the page, working behind the scenes to bring bold stories and fresh voices to life.
Aden Bruce
Blue Fire Editor
Aden Bruce is a sophomore Biology major at GSW. He hopes to one day specialize in entomology, and his favorite insects are termites and cicadas. As an artist, he wanted to learn more about the literary arts by participating in Blue Fire. He enjoys learning about mythology, insects, and all forms of art.
Maven Coston
Blue Fire Editor
Maven Coston is currently a Sophomore English Major at GSW. Their love for reading/writing since young adolescence has pushed them to pursue future goals, such as being an author and publishing their first book before graduation. What they enjoy outside of being an editor is singing, dancing, traveling, exercise of any type (yes, any), and studying with cuddly cats. Other involvements include being a part of Greek-life (Alpha Psi Lambda), SGA, and being Vice President of the Drama Club.
Makayla Jackson
Blue Fire Editor
Makayla Jackson is an English major at GSW. She enjoys reading and crocheting in her free time. She hopes to work with literature as a career, with her ultimate goal being writing or editing books.
Jenna Morgan
Blue Fire Account Manager
Jenna Morgan is a freshman English major. Blue Fire has helped her gain confidence as a writer, making her step more out of her comfort zone by taking charge in making the flyer, answering emails, and promoting Blue Fire on her Instagram accounts. Jenna is a storyteller at heart and dreams of being an author one day. For she has countless tales that can bring you to other worlds that she wishes to share with anyone who lends an ear.
Makenzi Parr
Blue Fire Editor
Makenzi Parr is a senior Secondary Education major at GSW. Outside her love of reading and writing, she loves the mountains and outdoor activities, such as hiking and kayaking. She is ready to graduate and start her teaching career.
Adalyn Rooks
Blue Fire Editor
Adalyn Rooks was born and raised here in Americus, Georgia, and she even went to GSW during pre-k. Now, she is a freshman at the college and is currently majoring in English. She likes reading and procrastinating on things that she most likely shouldn’t (but she always gets it done).
Alaina Kaus
Blue Fire Faculty Advisor
Alaina Kaus is Associate Professor of English at GSW. She believes in the importance of creating space (especially, space in print) for literature and other art forms to be shared. She enjoys helping to make such a space a reality at GSW as the Blue Fire faculty advisor.
