Why did you choose GSW and this major?
I chose GSW because it was a new start, small and very affordable compared to some of my other options. I chose Nursing as my major because, I want to be the reason some gets better from something that is making them not their best.

What were your goals when you first enrolled?
My goals were to succeed. I did not come here to slack off or not care about classes and grades.

What challenges or obstacles did you face early on?
I faced many challenges. I did not always get the grade I wanted, but luckily I had good professors that guided me how to do better next time.

Were you nervous about anything?
I was definitely nervous meeting people and coming to such a small town, coming from living in the city my whole life.

What helped you succeed?
My advisor Ms.Kina Davis has helped me in so many ways this semester. I was in and out of her office ALOT. She is so helpful, she always welcomes you in her door even if you have one question.

What kept you motivated?
Knowing that I have an end goal and it is something I want to do and pursue keeps me going in my academic goals.

How did you push through?
Staying positive and motivated.

What does success mean to you?
Success means that I have reached my goals, and I have made it.

Advice for other students:
Remind yourself why you started and why you are here when things get hard.
