First-time SGSC Freshman Students

We are excited that you would like to live on campus at Georgia Southwestern! The housing information will be sent to you from the SGSC Entry Program Office, once you have been accepted. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.

Current GSW and SGSC Students

GSW and SGSC students who currently live on campus and wish to do so again during the 2018-19 academic year are encouraged to submit a 2018-2019 Returning Resident Housing Application and a signed copy of the 2018-2019 Housing Terms and Conditions as soon as possible to receive their preferred room type.

Summer Residents

We are pleased to offer Summer Housing to our new and returning residential students. Students may elect to live on campus for the whole summer or may stay only for the portion that suits them best.

GSW and SGSC students who currently live on campus and wish to do so at any time during the Summer 2018 academic term are encouraged to submit a Summer 2018 Returning Resident Housing Application  and a signed copy of the Summer 2018 Housing Terms and Conditions as soon as possible to receive their preferred room type.

 Non-Returning Residents

Current residential GSW or SGSC students who, for any reason, do not wish to live on campus during the 2018-2019 academic year (including those who will graduate at the end of the semester) are required to submit a Non-Returning Form in order to inform the university of their plans. Students who plan to remain enrolled in GSW courses are encouraged to make certain that they meet the eligibility requirements for exemption from the residency requirement. This should be done before securing off-campus housing, as the university reserves the right to assign a room on campus to any enrolled students who do not meet an exemption requirement.

Meningitis Form

All residential students must submit a $50 Housing Registration Fee and a Meningitis Form before their first term on campus. Returning residents are not required to resubmit the form or Housing Registration Fee.

Housing Appeal

If a student has submitted a housing application and would like to appeal their obligation to it, they must complete an Appeal of Housing Obligation Form.

Checking Out of the Residence Halls

If a student is withdrawing from the university or has an emergency and needs to check out of the residence halls, the student must complete the General Check-out Packet and submit all paperwork to the Office of Residential Life located on the 3rd floor of the Student Success Center.
