Why did you choose to attend GSW?
I chose GSW because of the small-town atmosphere and family feeling I experienced when I visited campus. I felt like a student here rather than just a number.

What would people be surprised to know about you?
I am only 19 years old, and I will be graduating this December. I took dual enrollment courses all four years of high school and completed all of my core requirements in the process.

What is a cause you’re passionate about?
I am very passionate about student engagement. I believe a student’s involvement is what truly makes their college experience. I am also passionate about equality and social justice. I believe everyone is created equal and should be afforded the same opportunities. It is my mission at GSW to continue this discussion and begin moving into a new era filled with equality.

Tell us more about something you’re involved with on campus.
I am currently one of the Student Directors for Thunder Camp 2021. My responsibilities as a Student Director are to plan a fun and engaging experience for the incoming freshman class. We are currently in the process of creating our camp schedule, and I could not be more excited to be at camp in August!

What makes GSW special?
To me, the people make GSW special. The faculty, staff, and students are all one cohesive group. It truly feels like a family here. Also, President Weaver has successfully created a more engaging and challenging experience for the students here at GSW. Not only do we have the opportunities to get involved, we are also challenged in the classroom in a way that prepares us for the next phase of our lives.

What is your plan after graduation?
After graduation I plan to return to GSW and obtain my MBA. I hope to one day become a CEO of a hospital and spend my career fighting for equal treatment of all patients, regardless of their financial and personal situations.

What is your favorite series to binge watch? Why?
My favorite series is Grey’s Anatomy (Yes, I know. Cliché.) Shondra Rhimes really knows how to keep the audience on their toes and in their feels. I also love how progressive and modern the show is. She portrays many real life issues the medical field faces today.
