GSW Day of Giving

Home / Day of Giving

GSW's third annual Day of Giving took place on September 16, 2021 - a Gold Force Thursday to be exact. The University's fundraising campaign was an opportunity for Hurricanes around the nation—alumni, community members, parents, friends, faculty, staff, and students—to join together and show support for Georgia Southwestern State University. In this 24-hour giving challenge, we highlighted six funds to support our areas of greatest need in athletics, scholarships, student engagement, and facility renovations. In our most ambitious goal, GSW planned to raise $50,000 and receive a gift from each of the 50 states. After the 24-hour period, we nearly doubled our goal of $50,000! We were so close to meeting the 50 States challenge and "Turned the Map Gold" for 44 states, as well as three additional countries.

Thank you for your participation as your gifts help change the lives of GSW students and those who support them as they prepare for a better tomorrow.
