Built in 1947, the Conference Center originally served as the Americus Country Club before it was acquired by the GSW Foundation. The building and the golf course were dedicated to Judge Griffin Bell in September 2008. Judge Bell, an Americus native and GSW alumnus, served as the 72nd Attorney General of the United States from 1977-1979.
Today, you'll find the perfect mix of old-world charm and new construction when you walk into the Conference Center. The Porte-Cochère and circular drive are preserved, and the lobby, dedicated to Judge Griffin Bell, features 14-foot ceilings, the updated but original ballroom crystal chandeliers, and mementos celebrating his legacy.

Pergola and Patio: The 660 sq ft pergola with rocking chairs offers stunning views of the golf course, while the patio and umbrella-covered seating provide a perfect spot to relax with a drink from the bar after 18 holes. The space is accented with tribute bricks, available for purchase, allowing guests to leave a lasting mark on this special setting.

The conference center is versatile and can accommodate a wide range of events, including corporate meetings, conferences, seminars, weddings, receptions, banquets, and social gatherings!
The main ballroom can seat up to 240 guests for a banquet or 350 guests in a classroom layout. Additional rooms and spaces are available for smaller gatherings or breakout sessions.
The conference center offers a variety of amenities, including high-speed Wi-Fi, state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment, on-site catering options, breakout rooms, and a lounge area with a full-service bar.
