A master’s in computer science prepares graduates for lucrative, high-level careers in computer science. Computer scientists design new computer technologies to solve problems in business, healthcare, science, and education. This program is geared towards current industry demands and provides students with knowledge of the latest technology that is essential in many new areas, including computer and network service and consulting companies, financial institutions, health industries, natural science labs, and medical research labs, and other contexts where intensive manipulation of information is important.
The MS program consists of 30 graduate credit hours in Computer Science. The curriculum consists of six core courses and four elective courses. Students have the option to choose a thesis. The MSCS program is offered completely online to offer a flexible learning environment and is designed to extend opportunities to working professionals with busy schedules and/or families.

Pre-requisite Courses
Students who meet the following admission requirements and who have fulfilled the prerequisite course requirements will be admitted as a regular graduate student. Names and numbers of the prerequisite courses need to be discussed with the graduate advisor.
EXEMPTIONS: Applicants who have earned a graduate degree from a regionally accredited university are exempt from the requirement of the GRE score and can be admitted into the program based on their graduate GPA.
