Complete the online application for admission. You will be prompted to create a GAfutures account if you do not already have one.
Request current transcripts from your counselor, and ask that they be sent to GSW for processing.
Test-Optional through Summer 2024: We encourage you to send scores from all tests taken using SAT Code: 5250 and/or ACT code: 0824 for scholarship and placement purposes.
Track your application status through RAIN. You can review what information is still needed and what documents have been received.
GSW will send a variety of emails to applicants and admitted students with important information.
Once admitted, make sure to schedule a one-on-one tour with one of our admissions counselors, or attend a Preview Day.

Students who are completing their high school education or have recently received their diploma and have not taken college or university courses after high school are considered freshmen for admission purposes at Georgia Southwestern. Check out specific freshman admission requirements.
Homeschool students are required to meet freshman admissions requirements in addition to submitting the Homeschool Packet.
Dual Enrollment is a state-funded program allowing select high school students to attend college while still in high school. Courses completed with Georgia Southwestern earn students both high school and college credit. Check out specific admission requirements.
Transfer students are those who have attended one or more regionally accredited universities, colleges, or technical colleges since graduating from high school. These students should have earned credit that is transferable to Georgia Southwestern but have never attended GSW as a degree-seeking student. Check out specific admission requirements.
A transient is an undergraduate student in good standing at another institution who enrolls for one semester at Georgia Southwestern in order to complete work to be transferred back to their home institution. Check out specific admission requirements.
Non-traditional students are those who have been out of high school for at least five years or whose high school class graduated at least five years ago. Check out specific admission requirements.
International students are those who are neither a U.S. citizen nor a U.S. permanent resident that hope to receive a student visa to study at Georgia Southwestern. Check out specific admission requirements.
